Tips For Preparing GATE Exam

•  Good Preparation is the first and foremost thing to crack any of the competitive examinations. Once if you decided to crack the GATE examination then start your preparation as much as earlier.
• Collect the syllabus, exam pattern and previous year question papers of GATE exam.
• Now read the entire syllabus of GATE exam according to your subject.
• Now you can analyze yourself and identify in which part your knowledge is weak and in which part you are strong.
•  Note down that and give importance to the weaker part.
• Put time table for each part and allot time for every sections.
• Before start to prepare collect the quality books and study material for every chapter/topics.
• While reading any chapter or topic ask yourself “What”, “How” and “Why”. This will enable your creativity.
•  After finishing every topic make a hint of important points. Eg. Formulas, equations, Shortcuts, tips, year, Name, Place, and Some Unusual words, scientific words, Botanical names, Taxonomy etc.   It will help you to avoid the spelling mistakes of long words and remember some unusual words. It will help you while you revise the particular chapter during exam time.
•  Solve the Previous year question papers and analyze them.  It will help you to solve critical questions in your exam session.
• GATE examination is completely objective based test. Most of time solving objective questions is tricky.  Learn the tips to solve GATE objective questions from GATE tutor center.While you doing practice sincerely with previous/model question papers you will learn the tips  automatically by yourself
• In case if you have any doubts ask your professor or experts or use forums to clear your doubt. You can also discuss with your seniors or friends who crack the GATE exam previous year.
• Don’t hesitate to ask your doubts to them even though that is a silly question or intelligent questions.Please avoid that because that will be the obstacle in the way of  your success.
• You can also do combined study with your friends. Divide sections/topics between you and your friends or colleague and have a brief session on topic from them before you actually start topic. This will save the time and will improve yourself and also your partner’s  understanding on the topic.While you discuss with them you will get some idea and tips follow them for your preparation.
•  It is advisable to read from hard copy and avoid soft copy because while you are studying in computer your mind can easily distract with other things like music, videos,  you tube, face book, chatting etc. It will entirely collapse your study plan.
• Revised your hints and short notes daily, weekly, monthly or free times. Don’t skip this because if you do not touch with that it will be new to you while you are revision.
