Almost 50% of India’s population is under 25 years of age and more than 65% is below 35 years of age, making India the country with the largest number of young people (below 30).
But the problem here is that this demographic isn’t being utilized in the best possible way so that it can benefit the country as a whole and the youth as an individual. Come the twenty-first century and the youth has slid into this comfortable, cozy bubble where-in the majority of the younger youth (16-24) is living a comfortable student life supported by their parents; their only worry being their studies or perhaps their social lives and the older youth (24-30) become busy with their jobs; most starting a family by the time they turn 31-32. By this time the country would have lost a valuable resource without contributing anything to it and that individual would himself have lost the prime time of his life getting caught in a rut, doing just the essential things and not thinking beyond that.
Now do not get us wrong, all the stuff mentioned above is Important, very important in fact. You cannot live a good life without getting through your college, you cannot support yourself and your family without getting a job, but the question here is;
Is this all there is to do in this wonderful prime phase of one’s life called youth?
Majority of us spend this whole time without having an opinion over important issues, without taking a stand on the happenings that are shaping the world. Hell; most of the time we aren’t even aware of what is happening in the country we live in!
Youth Conclave’s sole purpose of existence is not worded with extravagance such as ‘awakening the youth’ or ‘making youth the power it was meant to be’. It is simply this – “Calling upon socially awakened youth to get together annually and, through debates, discussions and deliberations, form opinions over important issues”.
Youth Conclave is an annual youth intellectual festival held by The Success Corporationwhere people between ages 16-30 get together in a conference cum ideas exchange platform where they share views/speak/exchange ideas over how youth can effect/contribute/revolutionize -
