ASTHRA' 12 is the first edition of the business festival at Amrita School of Business (ASB), Kochi campus. We intend to attract hundreds of students and delegates from various academic and corporate backgrounds.

ASTHRA' 12, the weapon of Focus and Precision will help to sharpen knowledge and skills in the field of management, as it caters to creating value to both young managers and members of the corporate community. The event lays a foundation & environment for the cultivation of innovative and novel ideas. ASTHRA anchors a wide range of events and activities that belong to almost all the focus areas imaginable within the domain of business and management, such as marketing, finance, operations, system and entrepreneurship.

CHAKRAVYUH - Business Plan

• Chakravyuh is a multi-tier defensive formation which is described in Mahabharata. 
• It is tough to enter inside Chakravyuh and it’s the elite who have the talent can manage to go inside and also tough to escape outside.

Arthashastra - Finance

Rules

Instruction for Round One

• Participants need to register with our website.
• This round will be an online round.
• There is no participation fee for this round.
• This round is a case study round on banking Industry; the case study can be downloaded from ASTHRA website.
• Each team can have minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 3 members.
• Participants can submit the solution either as hard copy or soft copy.
• If submission of the case study is through e-mail, formats such as pdf, .doc, .ppt files are accepted.
• If the participants are going to submit the solution of case study as hard copy (by post or courier) it should reach us before the last date. This will help us in announcing the results at the earliest.
• There is no limit for number of slides (for ppt) or number of pages in case of word document or pdf. There is no such restriction regarding font size, font face and line spacing. But clarity of content and subject will be given more importance.

• Round One will start on 09/03/2012, last date for submission of round One is on 12/03/2012. Results will be communicated through participants e-mail id and through Asthra web site on 13/03/2012.

Instruction for Round Two

• The shortlisted participants from round one need to do an analysis on Indian Banking Industry and participants need to do an in depth fundamental analysis on any one banking company listed on BSE/NSE. Participants need to analyze in detail one listed Indian Banking company (which will be decided by the forum).
• Participants need to prepare a 25 minute presentation which should be presented before the panel and this will be followed by a question and answer session on 17/03/2012.
• All the analysis done using excel sheets and such other tools need to be brought to the institute on 17/03/2012.
• Participants need to pay Rs. 250 per head as registration fee.
• This event will be held only on the 17th March, 2012 and the winning team can collect their prize on the 18th March during the prize distribution ceremony.
• The participants who are shortlisted for the second round will have to complete their registration for the event in the campus between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM on 17th March 2012.

General Instructions

• The final decision of the events will be made by the organizers and no team can counter any decisions made.
• The decision of the jury panel and the core committee will be final and binding. No appeals will be entertained.
• No refund of participation fee would be done under any circumstances.
• The management will not be responsible for any issues between the teams or any other internal issues that the participants create.
• Since ours is a hospital campus, all the participants coming to be a part of the event are requested to maintain the decorum of the institution.

Devavrata - Best Manager

• The registration fee is Rs.350 per participant.
• The registration will be on the basis of first come, first serve since only 20 participants are allowed for this event.
• Maximum 2 participants from a college.
• The round details are kept confidential and will be disclosed only during the course of the event.
• The event will start on 17th March and end on 18th March 2012.
• Participants have to come in formals throughout the event.
• Participants have to compulsorily carry their own laptops, internet data card and a pen drive.
• Use of mobile phones wil not be entertained prior and during the course of the event, on both the days.
• Participants have to bring their college ID cards.
