The literary club of CBIT, Communicando was formed with the blessing of the college management with the mantra of giving some importance to extracurricular activities and communication skills while persuading students that all of it could be balanced with academics. With a dedicated membership of student co-ordinators, the club functions under the stewardship of Dr. Sandhya Reddy, the head of the English department of CBIT.
To help develop the communication and negotiation skills of the students while promoting a healthy spirit of competition amongst them, Communicando holds literary competitions at regular intervals ranging from formal debates and quizzes to offbeat events that require spontaneity as much as wit and literary skill. A landmark event, CBIT Model United Nations was held in the year 2011 that drew response from all over the country as well as many overseas attendees. The event was judged by and large to be a pace-setter for all other student conferences in India.
The club is a beehive of activity as the time approaches closer and closer to the flagship event Literati, the annual literary festival of CBIT.
